Anchor 1

School Partnership Program

PKF sponsors the Ecole Assemble de Dieu (“EADD”), a school located in Franchipagne, Haiti. PKF has strategically decided to partner with EADD because of EADD’s unique position as one of the few schools that provides a formal education to one of the most rural regions in the southern part of Haiti. PKF will provide the school’s 150 students with school supplies and material for the 2018-2019 academic year. Moreover, we hope to provide EADD with as much support as possible to help service the educational needs of students in one of the most rural areas in Haiti, who otherwise would not have access to an education.

Leadership/Community Service Development Program

The program is designed to help empower the next generation with the tools to tackle the most pressing issues in their community. The program helps to foster: leadership development, community engagement, team building, and confidence. In the inaugural year of the PKF Leadership/Community Development Program, our PKF scholars chose to address
the problems of soil erosion, litter prevention, waste reduction & recycling.  PKF challenges its Scholars to think strategically while they create their action plan to try to formulate sustainable solutions to their community service project.

Scholarship Program

PKF provides Haitian students demonstrating great potential the resources to excel including: tuition, uniform, school supplies, and a mentorship program.

Aspil & Nacilia Gachelin Memorial Scholarship

In loving memory of Aspil & Nacilia Gachelin, their loving and forever grateful children and grandchildren wanted to honor them and perpetuate their remarkable legacy. Accordingly, a scholarship was bequest in their names to enable worthy students in the Franchipagne Fond-des-Blancs area with the qualities and character that made Aspil and Nacilia such powerful luminaries in their community. Aspil & Nacilia Gachelin were forceful and visionary leaders in Franchipagne Fond-des-Blancs for many years. They continually exercised their influence to promote programs that furthered the well being of Franchipagne’s inhabitants and encouraged a better understanding among its residents. They were effective spokespersons for the area, respected for their integrity and wisdom.

 Francois Jacques Memorial Scholarship

The Francois Emmanuel Jacques (FEJ) Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the life well lived of FEJ. FEJ was a devoted husband, a loving father, an affectionate grandfather and a fiercely loyal friend, with a legendary work ethic. FEJ was an extremely compassionate gentle giant, who instilled staunch values of obtaining an education, pursuing knowledge and achieving excellence in spite of one’s circumstances. Mr. Jacques left Haiti with only a third grade education and managed to raise four community minded college graduates with bachelor degrees or higher. The road was not always easy nor were resources readily available, but his will and desire to excel were tenacious. As such, it is our hope that the recipient of the Francois Emmanuel Jacques Memorial Scholarship will value and emulate the qualities that he exuded and continue his proud legacy.

Patrick’s values have become our moral compass that we strive to achieve. To honor Patrick’s legacy as a community builder, his family and friends have established a scholarship fund in his name to assist and encourage students with limited means to always give their best, to never give up, and to always pursue their dreams.

Internship and Professional Development Program

We partner with organizations in the community to provide talented, motivate, and industrious kids an opportunity to learn, excel and develop in a nurturing work environment.   The Summer Internship and Professional Development program is designed to provide PKF Scholars with meaningful work experience and to teach our students how to add value to the international value chain.  It’s an excellent opportunity to learn about various industries and the different career options available and to network with leaders in the community.

College Prep Program

We created the Patrick’s Kids Foundation University Preparatory Program (PKF UPP) to provide an on ramp for motivated, talented, and service-oriented young adults with high moral character and integrity in Haiti to obtain a post-secondary education.  The PKF UPP is designed to help lower the barrier to higher education in Haiti.  Amongst other things, we provide our scholars with a scholarship to be applied towards their post-secondary education, we help our scholars create a budget for their educational pursuits, and we provide our PKF UPP Scholars direct access to our network of professionals for career counseling to help our scholars reach their professional goals.
